Who we are
We are a group of local Eltham people who survived the frustrations of the MRPV (Major Road Projects Victoria) consultation process for the replacement of the Fitzsimons Lane and Main Rd roundabout. We were ultimately unsuccessful in stopping the change

So we have continued to advocate for the State Government and Nillumbik Council to assist us in the creation of a new gateway to Eltham, Nillumbik Shire and the green wedge.
We have taken the name Southern Gateway Renewal Group.
Having promoted the project and consulted with the responsible agencies, the concept now has the support of our local State government member and all local councillors.
We now want to act as an advocate for the project to ensure it creates a new Gateway that we will be proud "to come home to".
